As an old man
I want to be considered
unarmed yet extremely
dangerous.
Instead of nurses at my bedside,
guards at the door.
No tubes,
but chains barely keeping me
from a life that is yet to be.
I want to see fear in the eyes
of the young men who guard me.
Instead of dying,
I will escape without a trace,
leaving behind captains,
disciplined and baffled.
