Between backyards,
pine trees shelter deer
wandering wedged
in a fenced forest.

I also wander wedged
in a construct of ideas,
the invisible walls of
my bordered world.

This afternoon I looked out my window to see a deer wandering between the
fenced-in backyards of the two adjacent neighbors behind my house. I was
reminded of my own life fixed between unseen mind-barriers preventing me from
thinking too far beyond prevailing thought.
