but since you’re not,

It is my greatest pleasure
to be the nation’s treasure.
With a citizen like me,
the ‘people’ need no ‘we.’
I begin my name with ‘the,’
I am definitely an article,
and when you’re in my presence,
you’re nothing but a particle.
My name means worldly ruler,
I’m bested by no rival,
I only play for winning
and never for survival.
My hair looks fake and plastic,
my brain is acting spastic,
but even so I’d be in love with you,
if you were me and I was only you.
