A man is seriously ill.  He has been diagnosed with a life threatening disease.  His brother brings him to a physician who recommends a nearby hospital. The hospital is famous for outcomes of recovery and the restoration of health. The man’s brother delivers him to the hospital only to discover a moat completely  surrounding the building. Thrashing around in the moat are many alligators. There is no drawbridge to provide safe passage. If one is to enter the hospital, they must make their way across the alligator infested moat.

Now I know why they enjoy such a high recovery rate, said the man as he watched his brother, bitten and bruised, climb out of the moat on the opposite side and enter the hospital..

In your opinion, what is the reason for the hospital’s therapeutic success?
