I arrived arrived at my destination the easy way.
So don’t expect me to know where I am.

I took a bus.
I took a train.
I took a plane.

Someone else brought me here.
All I did was get on board.

I did not walk the long way from the river to the coast.
I did not pass through cities, villages, and towns.
I did not shop at markets in each locale buying foods native to the place.
I did not see the east sun rising or watch the westward setting sun.
I did not look to notice which side lichen grew on trees to determine north.
I did not wait for floods to pass before crossing rivers.
I did not winter in mountain passages waiting for snow thaw and spring.
I did not cross deserts after sundown making my way through a shadow called night.
I did not carry treasures from home to trade with the natives along the way.

No!

I took a bus.
I took a train.
I took a plane.

So don’t expect me to know where I am.
